The Giving My Life Some Purpose Project: Week 3

Not a HUGE amount to report this week. I decided to tackle one of my longer-term projects, and began reading Anna Karenina on Friday so I could tick off the reading a book by a Russian author from the list.

300 pages down, 700 to go…..

  1. i cud do with trying this one myself x

  2. Not that you really need to read another Russian novel after Anna Karenina, but in case you’d like to, I highly recommend The Brothers Karamazov by Fyodor Dostoevsky. It’s one of my favorite books.

  3. Is it good??? Let me know…

  4. It is, but it’s so very long!!!! You sometimes feel like you’re not making a dent in it!!!!!

  5. I really must start reading…i love it but it always seems to come last on a long list of priorities.
    maybe i’ll join a library!

  6. Ah, my band recorded a track a long time ago called ‘Karenina’. Direct inspiration or uncanny coincidence? Frankly, it’s all a bit cyrillic to me.
