Just friends. No danger there.

You’re not friends. You’ll never be friends. You’ll be in love till it kills you both. You’ll fight, and you’ll shag, and you’ll hate each other till it makes you quiver, but you’ll never be friends. Love isn’t brains, children, it’s blood…blood screaming inside you to work its will. I may be love’s bitch, but at least I’m man enough to admit it.

  1. Friends, lovers, or nothing – there can only really ever be one.

Aw Spike, He’s bloody fangtastic hehehe (aw awful puns galore)

Seriously though, Joss Whedon really knows how to write!!

    xx

p.s When buffy was on everyone had a crush on Spike but I was a little tiny bit petrified of him…i think it was the vampire thing 😛

  5. Love it!!

I was in a situation a while back and I heard this quote and it brought me straight back to reality!

” If two ex’s can remain friends, it means they are still in love or they never were.”

    Never a truer word spoken!

    • It’s so true…I mean how many of us have tried to convince ourselves that the only reason we try to be friends with exes is because we don’t want to lose a ‘friend’, when the reality is we hope that spending time together will spark a renewal of affection!

  6. Spike was so much more ridey than Angel. Until Angel went all mean and evil. Then he was hot.

Not quite sure what that says about me.

    • I think it says you’re a kinky wench 😛

I loved Season 1 and 2 Angel (evil and not), because he has a cool attitude and was mysterious. Season 3 Angel never stopped moaning and crying…did my HEAD in!

  7. I agrre Joss Whedon is a fab writer and does’n’t get enough credit for it.
I remember watching this episode, but I can’t remember who he was saying it to. Was it Buffy and Angel, or Willow and Xander? I’m not sure who it was.
I believe what he says to be true though, I mean look back, have any of those relationships ever really worked out?
I adore Spike, he is my ultimate all time Buffy Character, and I love the end bit where he says he’s going to “find Dru, tie her up, and torture her until she likes me again”.
I really want to watch that episode now, but I lent that season to a friend. Grrrrr
Oh well, I can always watch him stalk Buffy insead.
